Povodom sto godina od Sarajevskog atentata na austrijskog nadvojvodu Franca Ferdinanda i izbijanja Prvog svjetskog rata, Arhiv Bosne i Hercegovine, Arhivističko udruženje Bosne i Hercegovine, Hrvatski državni arhiv i Međunarodni centar za arhivska istraživanja (ICARUS), zajednički su organizovali međunarodnu arhivsku konferenciju Prvi svjetski rat — refleksije iza linije fronta (WWI: Reflections from behind the frontlines), koja je održana od 26. do 29. juna 2014. u velikoj sali Doma oružanih snaga BiH u Sarajevu. Uz otvaranje konferencije, predstavljena je izložba Historijskog arhiva Sarajevo, sačinjena od fotografskog materijala koji svjedoči o Sarajevskom atentatu. Na konferenciji je prezentovano 15 referata, dok je kroz diskusije konstatovano da je značajan dio arhivske građe koja potiče iz perioda od 1914. do 1918. — a koja se čuva u arhivima u regionu — i dalje ostao neupotrebljen u istorijskim istraživanjima, posebno u kontekstu izučavanja istorije društva i svakodnevice u ratu. U zaključnoj diskusiji naglašene su potrebe daljeg otvaranja arhiva prema istraživačima i aktivnije promovisanje arhivskih kolekcija. Neki od predstavljenih radova biće objavljeni u časopisu Arhiva BiH — Građa. Engleski i njemački bili su radni jezici konferencije.
